Position: Transportation Specialist / Activity Assistant (Part-Time)

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dependable and compassionate individual to join our team in a dual-role capacity supporting both transportation and activities.

The Transportation Specialist / Activity Assistant is responsible for safely transporting residents to appointments and outings, while also assisting the Activities Department when transportation is not scheduled. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and contributing to a positive, engaging community environment.

The position is scheduled approximately three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), typically from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional need to extend until 4:00 PM. Very occasional evening availability may be required for monthly dinner outings or rare additional trips. Limited weekend availability is preferred for special events but is not required on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and timely transportation for residents to medical appointments and community outings
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring safety at all times
• Offer light assistance during outings, including wheelchair support and escorting residents to appointments and activities
• Support the Activities Department with programs and events during non-transportation hours

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (subject to verification)
• Ability to lift, push, or assist up to 50 lbs
• Ability to complete a required physical and safety orientation
• Commitment to following all traffic laws and transportation safety protocols
• Strong reliability, patience, and a team-oriented attitude

Compensation:

• Starting at $16.00 per hour, up to $17.00 per hour depending on experience
• No CDL required
