Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

This position involves assembling low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets as part of the product manufacturing process. The Mechanical Assembler will interpret blueprints or work orders, gather necessary materials and hardware, use hand and power tools according to work instructions, and conduct basic inspections to ensure quality production.

Responsibilities

• Interpret assembly and elevation drawings.
• Construct modular steel cabinets and copper bus assemblies.
• Read tape measures accurately.
• Utilize manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Operate power tools including drills, impact tools, and pneumatic torque wrenches.

• At least 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic in a job shop environment.
• Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics.
• Proficiency in using shop equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to perform basic math functions, including fractions and decimals.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.

• High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The facility is medium-sized with 60 employees, manufacturing products from start to finish involving fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly. It is a clean, newly designed, and modern facility with comfortable working temperatures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
