Cyber/Data/Privacy Associate Attorney – Midlevel
Location: Chicago | Washington, DC | New York | San Francisco
Practice Area: Cyber, Data & Privacy
Direct Counsel is seeking a midlevel associate with experience in litigation and/or regulatory enforcement investigations involving privacy and data security matters . This is an opportunity to join an award-winning Cyber/Data/Privacy practice with a strong international presence.
Key Responsibilities:- Represent clients in regulatory investigations involving consumer protection issues (State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies).
- Defend privacy and data security class actions , including cases involving:
- Stored Communications Act
- Wiretapping claims
- Unfair and deceptive trade practices
- Data breach class actions
- Engage directly with clients and lead significant projects .
- 4-6 years of litigation or regulatory investigation experience in privacy and data security matters .
- Strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school.
- Ability to manage complex legal issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams .
- Strong technical fluency and analytical skills.
- Exceptional writing and advocacy skills .
- Salary Range: $310,000 - $390,000 (Final offer based on experience and location).
