Licensed Pharmacist - Full time - OVERNIGHT

PRIMARY JOB SUMMARY

Implements and optimizes the use of technology and the electronic health record to enhance the entire medication use process using clinical, informatics, and leadership skills. Maintains competency in both clinical practice and informatics skills, providing a direct link to the end-user experience. Demonstrates ability to lead strategic projects and workgroups among the team or multiple teams. Responsible for supporting the IT needs of pharmacy-related services and operations.

PRIMARY JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. Graduate of ACPE accredited school of pharmacy at a college or university

2. Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy

3. One year experience in hospital pharmacy 

4. 1 years of experience in pharmacy information systems applications and clinical pharmacy workflows that includes end user experience with similar applications or PGY2 residency training in pharmacy informatics

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

6. Ability to function as the interface between clinicians and other technical experts, analyzing business and clinical processes, and providing user advanced training/education. 

7. Good oral and written communication skills

8. Must be accurate and prompt

9. Must maintain total confidentiality of all patient records

Pay Rate: $42 - $50 per hour

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

 1. Demonstrates the Resilience Healthcare Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers. 

2. Performs direction for a comprehensive pharmaceutical informatics program by developing specific informatics plans, data analysis, and systems that support efficiency and effectiveness for end users, with the primary goal of advancing evidence-based practice, improving medication safety, and optimizing pharmacy related workflows.

3. Independently manages assigned projects for planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, upgrading, testing, and maintenance of the pharmacy information system as it pertains to business objectives. Provides advanced application troubleshooting support independently and in conjunction with information services and/or the vendor.

4. Independently analyzes clinical practices and conducts pharmaceutical/technical needs and workflow analysis, to align information technology with practical business initiatives as well as formulate practical requirements for operational improvements.

5. Assists in the creation of data analytics as required to create necessary performance metrics, applying and drawing conclusions between deliverables, initiating measures to improve performance and to facilitate holistic data review.

6. Consults with external agencies and organizations related to a specific project and/or area of expertise to standardize and ensure compliance with local, state, federal and other regulatory requirements.

7. Participates in implementing goals and objectives, and policies and procedures for the department.
