Alliance Labor Group is assisting a well-known and highly respected tools manufacturer recognized for its commitment to quality, precision, and innovation. We are seeking skilled CNC Tool Grinders / CNC Machinists to set up and operate CNC grinding and machining equipment producing precision cutting tools. This role focuses on end mills, drills, and specialty tooling, with responsibility for first-article approval, in-process inspection, and maintaining close tolerances. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision. This is a Direct Hire 1st Shift Opportunity!!

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC tool grinding machines (ANCA, Walter, Rollomatic, or similar)

• Grind and regrind carbide cutting tools including end mills, drills, and step tools

• Read and interpret blueprints and shop documentation; understand GD&T basics

• Perform first-article inspections, make offsets, and adjust programs as needed

• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height/depth gauges, optical comparator)

• Monitor production to ensure quality, consistency, and tight tolerances

• Execute routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and document work

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC grinding or CNC machining experience

• Hands-on setup and operation experience on CNC grinders or similar equipment

• Strong shop math and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency with precision measurement and quality inspection

• Ability to work independently and manage production flow

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus

Preferred Experience

• ANCA, Walter, or Rollomatic grinder experience

• Carbide tooling (end mills, drills) production or regrind experience

• Experience working in precision manufacturing environments
