Manufacturing Technician

· 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Mon-Fri) Onsite

Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated base pay for this position is $47,800-$59,800 . This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Prototyping and Tooling ? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our Manufacturing function . As a Manufacturing Technician , you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. Preventative Maintenance Mechanic conducts troubleshooting repair and preventative maintenance services to assembly fixtures, and test equipment throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate various 3D printers (MarkForged, Bambu, Prusa)
- Perform preventative maintenance on the printers.
- Schedule prints requests and communicate as necessary with requestors
- Maintain 3D printing supplies and spare parts inventory
- Operate laser part number engraver
- Work with internal analytical and mechanical testing labs to test 3D prints for different mechanical properties
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
- Assist in creating PM tasks and frequency
- Identify risks to business operations and develop corrective actions
- Contribute to the continual improvement process
- Perform repairs on production fixtures and tooling
- Assist Tool makers with troubleshooting
What you’ll Need To Succeed:
- High School diploma / GED
- 1 year of experience minimum in a mechanical/manufacturing role
- Basic mechanical skills (preventative maintenance experience)
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Utilize basic hand tools (Dremmel, wrenches, scrapers, drills)
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Physical demands:
- Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
- Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
- Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
- Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
- Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
- Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.
- Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
- Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Other: Respirator certification required.
