Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a temporary Bilingual (English/Spanish) full time Medical Assistant to work in our School-based health center.
Key Duties:
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
- Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
- Completes referrals and discharges patients.
- Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
- Assist provider with treatments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of related clinical experience required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant/Registered Medical Assistant (CCMA), required.
- National Phlebotomy Certificate, preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
- Understanding of medical terminology, computer skills, and multi-tasking.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour; Maximum: $21.00/hour
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Onsite in Elmhurst, Queens, 40-hour shift Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
