Role Highlights

• Own the setup and operation of assembly equipment with an unwavering focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Apply lockout/tagout, uphold housekeeping standards, and escalate any abnormal conditions to a Lead or Supervisor.
• Prepare and validate first-article parts, adjust processes to print specifications, and complete required approval paperwork.
• Perform regular in-process checks—visual, tactile, and gauged—to sustain dimensional accuracy and correct markings.
• Maintain fluid levels, wash parts as required, and move materials between the work area and scale.

Equipment You’ll Set Up and Run

• Presses: Change dies, pins, and fixtures for staking, stamping, and fitting; install shims as needed; dial in hydraulic pressure and stroke.
• Laser Marker: Swap fixtures, plates, rods, and spacers; choose the correct program for each job.
• Inkjet: Adjust format and track speed; switch between rotary and track configurations.
• Electro-Etch: Select appropriate pins, pads, solutions, and settings for permanent identification.
• Ovens: Set and verify temperatures and timing.
• Fit Stations: Configure fixtures, pins, and shims for precision fit-up.
• 2-Piece Swage: Install dies, pins, and bushings for reliable swaged assemblies.
• Swage (Spherical Inserts): Set dies, pins, shims, and springs to meet stringent tolerances.

Quality Practices

• Sign out gauges from Quality Assurance and set to blueprint requirements.
• Verify fit, concentricity, staking, stamping, and marking per specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical/trade education (preferred)
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and applied shop math
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal work instructions
• Strong communicator with peers, suppliers, and plant leadership

Desired Skills & Certifications

• Equipment troubleshooting and structured problem solving (5 Why)
• Experience in AS9100 environments and awareness of ITAR requirements
• Use of visual inspection aids
• OSHA 10-hour training
• Hand metrology and precision measurement
• Machine safety inspections and efficient production setups
• Blueprint reading and strong shop math

Compensation & Benefits
