The Opportunity
The Sports Nutrition Senior Financial Analyst position, reporting to the Performance Nutrition Finance Director, is an FP&A role within the America’s Finance team with responsibility for month-end reporting and analytics, commercial support and insight, integrated business planning (budgeting & forecasting), and short-term financial planning and analysis for Glanbia Performance Nutrition. This will be focused on the Sports Nutrition brand segment consisting of brands Optimum Nutrition and BSN, although will work closely with the rest of the commercial finance team and other parts of the finance organization.
This position will work closely with other departments including Brand, Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing and R&D as a core member of the Americas Finance function. Candidates for this role need to be self-motivated and highly organized and thrive in an agile working environment. Furthermore, candidates need to have strong communication skills and the ability to work diligently and cross-functionally to better understand brand management and insight. This permanent position will report to the Finance Director.
- Detailed monthly gross sales reporting and variance analysis with a focus on understanding and explaining the underlying drivers of brand and product performance.
- Detailed budgeting and forecasting across the various parts of the P&L, including Sales, DD&A, COGS, Overheads and Marketing.
- Ownership & key finance contact for various elements of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
- Working directly with cross functional teams to understand key drivers of the financial performance and to maintain rolling forecasts to help project and estimate future business performance.
- Supporting the commercial teams, including but not limited to, consumption analysis, pricing analysis, data analytics and insights, reporting and explaining business results and forecasting future business performance.
- Creating new reports and analyses to help deepen our understanding of our brand performance across key customers and brands.
- Preparing P&L models, profitability analysis, and price/volume analysis at a granular level.
- Maintaining integrity of master data associated with brand and product detail.
- Supporting ad-hoc projects and analyses within the Commercial Finance or broader Americas finance team.
- Support commercial teams around promotional planning and decision making.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA preferred)
- Scalable candidate with demonstrated potential to progress in the organization
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a finance function, preferably in a commercial finance or FP&A role
- CPG experience preferred
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial planning and variance analysis.
- Ability to explain business performance and craft the story to multiple audiences.
- Ability to use data to help educate others and influence commercial decision-making.
- Strong accounting knowledge to understand the financial statement impact of commercial decisions.
- Critical thinking skills including the ability to identify a business issue and propose solutions.
- Self-starter comfortable communicating at various levels of the organization while also diving into the details.
- Highly accurate in performing tasks, cross-checking work, and strong ability to manage and work proficiently with large sets of data.
- Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and Business Objects.

Compensation
Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $80K- 100K with an annual bonus.
