Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. Candidate must have advanced data engineering capability with proven expertise in Syniti ADM, SAP data migrations, and technical data extraction to qualify for this role.

Rate Range: $90/hour to $92/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Lead data conversion activities including scoping, extraction, mapping, and loading of master and transactional datasets into SAP systems.

• Design and implement migration components to move data from legacy platforms into SAP ERP environments.

• Evaluate and select tools and methods for extracting, cleansing, and transforming data from systems such as PeopleSoft, BAAN, and Infor LN.

• Develop programs and scripts to automate data extraction, cleansing, and loading processes.

• Identify and resolve data duplication issues while ensuring high accuracy and quality across all data sources.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and deliver end‑to‑end data‑centric solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline.

• 6+ years of overall technology experience, including 4+ years in software development, data engineering, and systems architecture.

• Candidate must have strong hands‑on capability with Syniti ADM and experience delivering SAP data migration projects.

• Candidate must have proven expertise in data extraction, cleansing, and transformation across systems such as PeopleSoft, BAAN, and Infor LN.

Pay Details: $90.00 to $92.00 per hour
