Executive Director - Site Development & Construction Services (Wireless)
We’re seeking a high-impact executive leader to oversee Site Development and Construction Services for one of the nation’s top wireless communications infrastructure providers. This role carries full P&L responsibility for a $100M+ business unit—driving growth, optimizing operations, and ensuring best-in-class performance across all phases of wireless network development and construction delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of telecom construction —from raw land and zoning through full turnkey builds and on-air delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Own full P&L responsibility; drive profitable growth, cost control, and margin expansion across all service lines.
- Partner with executive leadership to define business strategy and execute nationwide expansion across carrier and tower markets.
- Lead all aspects of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, and construction delivery for new builds, modifications, and upgrade programs.
- Oversee general contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule.
- Standardize construction and field operations across multiple regions to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
- Manage the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction and site readiness through closeout and on-air acceptance.
- Develop and expand strategic relationships with carriers, tower owners, and utilities to capture new build and upgrade opportunities.
- Lead business development initiatives that strengthen market presence and diversify service offerings.
- Drive innovation through technology-enabled project management and advanced delivery models.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams across site development, construction management, and field operations.
- Foster a culture centered on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Champion collaboration between regional and corporate teams to enhance execution and client satisfaction.
- Represent the organization with senior customers and at key industry events.
- Serve as a visible subject-matter expert in telecom construction and infrastructure development.
- 15–20 years of progressive leadership in telecom construction, site development, or infrastructure services.
- Proven success managing $100M+ P&L and large-scale field operations.
- Strong knowledge of tower builds, zoning/permitting, construction management, and network deployment.
- Exceptional financial acumen, client management, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead geographically distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Willingness to travel nationwide as needed.
- Strategic Leadership: Shape the direction of a nationally recognized infrastructure services organization.
- High Impact: Influence the success of multi-market construction programs nationwide.
- Growth Platform: Lead expansion within one of the fastest-growing segments of the telecom industry.
- Rewarding Culture: Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a culture built on innovation, safety, and performance.
