Independent Practice Opportunity – physicians own and operate their own practice while receiving structured operational support from MedCBO. No prior business ownership experience required.

Overview

This posting is for physicians who want to establish or transition into an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians own and govern their medical entity; MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support.

Physician Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the ophthalmology specialty scope
  
• Develop professional relationships within the local medical community
  
• Determine clinical services offered and manage clinical quality and patient experience
  
• Participate in payer credentialing as required
  

Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO

• Practice formation coordination
  
• Billing and collections management
  
• Payer contract negotiation
  
• Financial infrastructure and reporting
  
• Operational workflows and staffing systems
  
• Technology platform and implementation (EHR, telehealth, clinical workflow systems)
  
• Credentialing, enrollments, and facility privileging coordination
  
• HR administration, staffing workflows, and compliance support
  
• Supply‑chain and vendor coordination
  

Requirements

• MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice
  
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in ophthalmology (or an alternative specialty appropriate to the services provided)
  
• Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable
  
• Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates
  
• No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice
  
• Interest in the independent practice model

Location

Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Physician‑directed relocation and market selection subject to licensure requirements.
