Slaight's Yamaha Polaris Cub Cadet in Canton, IL is looking for an experienced motorsports technician/mechanic. Looking for technical diagnostic skills. Thorough knowledge of engines, transmissions, drive-train, carburetors, fuel injection, etc... You will be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles, dealership vehicles, vehicle routine maintenance, setting up new dealership vehicles. Knowledge of full engine rebuilds (upper and lower end), cylinder boring, transmission rebuilds, clutch operation, rebuilding carburetors, tuning motors. We work on all makes and models, specializing in Yamaha, Polaris, and Cub Cadet.
- Repair ATV's, Utility Vehicle Side by Sides (UTV's), Lawn Mowers (Residential and Commercial
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
