Sanitation Specialist

• Onsite position at 7300 South Kedzie Ave Chicago, IL 60629

• We are seeking a hands-on Sanitation Assistant Manager to support audit preparation activities in a food manufacturing plant. This role focuses on organizing existing programs, reviewing compliance against standards, and working directly with operations and sanitation teams to close gaps.

• Review sanitation programs against company and regulatory standards.
• Organize existing records and documentation for audit readiness.
• Identify gaps and drive completion with sanitation supervisors and operations teams.
• Structure validation and verification records (cleaning validation, equipment swabbing, run lengths).
• Verify contractor cleaning program compliance and documentation.
• Update procedures and supporting documents as needed.
• Track action items and follow through to completion on the plant floor.
• Communicate status and escalate roadblocks.

• Experience in manufacturing, food production, quality, sanitation, or compliance environments.
• Comfortable working on the production floor and collaborating with hourly teams.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Able to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
• Experience with audits, inspections, or regulatory programs preferred.
• Bachelor's degree not required — practical experience valued.
