Project Engineer
- Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to deliver technical solutions to complex operational and radiochemical challenges.
- Support fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation of specialized equipment.
- Perform pilot-scale testing of liquid processing and chemistry-related systems.
- Execute field support activities at nuclear facilities, including troubleshooting and servicing installed systems.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering analyses.
- Support in-plant project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. Commensurate experience working in nuclear power will also be considered in lieu of degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access at domestic and international nuclear facilities.
- Strong problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
- Willingness to perform hands-on work in industrial environments.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (~25-35%).
- Ability to pass alcohol and drug screening required for nuclear plant access
- Experience or familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Understanding of electrical cabling design, harnesses, and panel integration.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, machined parts, chassis or rack design.
- Background in chemistry, chemical engineering, nuclear plant operations, or radiological systems.
- Experience working in regulated or industrial environments
The expected salary range for this role is $81,440 - $122,600 in Rockdale, IL. Exact pay will be commensurate with experience. Export Control Notice:
