Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist (Manufacturing)

As an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you’ll be the hands-on problem solver behind reliable production. From early-morning start-ups to end-of-shift checks, you’ll keep a diverse mix of equipment running safely, efficiently, and to spec—while helping standardize parts, order what’s needed, and keep the spares room ready for anything.

What a typical day can look like

• Set up, operate, service, and troubleshoot a range of manufacturing assets in line with production plans, cost/yield goals, and quality targets.
• Diagnose, disassemble, and rebuild equipment; swap out motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, and other electrical/mechanical components.
• Repair and maintain blenders, fillers, conveyors, and related production systems.
• Care for facility/utility equipment: pumps, valves, chillers, compressors, and power distribution as needed.
• Calibrate and repair electronic instrumentation including sensors, controllers, scales, and metal detection devices.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when specialty services are required.
• Partner daily with process engineering, production operators, and quality to eliminate downtime and ensure product excellence.
• Report to the Maintenance Manager and assist with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining repair-parts inventory.

Qualifications and skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, or completion of an industrial maintenance program with electrical coursework.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfortable using computers for CMMS, documentation, and part lookups.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Forklift operation capability (training and skills test provided on-site).
• Sound knowledge of safe tool and equipment use.

Technical strengths we value

Physical requirements

This role involves standing, walking, sitting, manual dexterity, reaching, climbing, balancing, working at heights, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. You may lift and/or move items from 30 to 55 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
