Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a NICU position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Level 1 Trauma facility
• Neonatal ICU (NICU) setting
• Approximately 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday shifts on a rotating basis
• No floating requirements
• Candidate selection involves an interview with facility leadership
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in medication administration, documentation, multidisciplinary collaboration, and breastfeeding support

Additional Information

• Monitors intake and output for neonatal patient assignments
• Assists mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care
• Administers medications using barcode scanning
• Participates in reporting during multidisciplinary rounds
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment at this health system for more than 1 consecutive year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
