Litigation Admin Assistant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Litigation Administrative Assistant to join our client to support litigation teams by keeping attorneys organized, informed, and prepared across all phases of case activity. This role focuses on delivering dependable administrative and litigation support while helping manage complex workflows and competing priorities. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois and offers a hybrid work arrangement following an initial training and ramp up period. This is a permanent opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative legal environment and values precision and professionalism.
Compensation:
$60,000 to $85,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Litigation Administrative Assistant:
- Support assigned attorneys and team leads by managing calendars, coordinating travel, and handling daily administrative needs
- Prepare, review, and format legal documents and correspondence, including pleadings, contracts, letters, and internal reports
- Oversee electronic court filings and assist with litigation support tasks across local, state, and federal matters
- Coordinate billing activities by preparing invoices, addressing billing questions, and submitting check request forms
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and internal stakeholders to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other office and legal software applications
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while supporting several attorneys simultaneously
- Professional judgment and discretion when interacting with clients, colleagues, and visitors
- Self directed work style with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving needs
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills
