Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs, with a focus on both preventative and reactive maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, including gearboxes, conveyors, mixers, chillers, proofers, ovens, and baggers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery.
• Repair gearboxes, conveyors, mixers, chillers, proofers, ovens, and baggers.
• Work with electrical systems up to 480V, including rewiring and motor replacements.
• Assist machine operators with setting up and changing over machinery.
• Perform welding and fabricating tasks.
• Interpret and read blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain a 60/40 mechanical to electrical focus.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in working with bearings, gearboxes, and blueprints.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to work in a GMP environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a food/GMP environment, preferably in a bakery.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Work Environment

You will have the opportunity to work on the 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM or the 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with initial training on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The team consists of about 15 people, and you should be open to working 6 days a week, totaling 48-55 hours weekly. Off days may vary, with potential days off on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
