Job Title: General Construction Laborer (Painting, Drywall & Carpentry)
Location: Gold Coast – Chicago, IL
Pay: $20–$26/hour (Contract-to-Hire)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated, hardworking individual who is eager to grow and build a long-term career in construction. This is a great opportunity for someone “hungry” to learn, develop new skills, and advance within a growing team. You’ll work on a variety of projects including tenant improvements and ground-up construction in the Gold Coast area of Chicago.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with painting, drywall installation/repair, and basic carpentry/framing
• Support job site setup, cleanup, and general labor tasks
• Work on tenant improvement and new construction projects
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with team members and take direction from supervisors

Requirements:

• Some hands-on experience in painting, drywall, or basic carpentry/framing preferred
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to work flexible and/or odd hours as project needs demand
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to talk or hear, sit, stand, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, use hands, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
• Must be able to work around wood dust and fumes
• Maybe exposed to heights and loud noises
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be aware of OSHA safety standards

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the available hourly pay scale for this position is $20 to $26 per hour. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
