A hospital pharmacist position is available for a 13-week contract starting March 23rd. This role involves inpatient pharmacy responsibilities, including medication verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and intravenous (IV) checking within a fast-paced hospital setting.
Location: Cicero, IL
Schedule:
- Mix of days and evenings
- Rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and check inpatient prescriptions for accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
- Conduct IV checks according to hospital protocols
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system for documentation and order review
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Active Illinois pharmacist license
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a clinical setting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and rotate through varied shifts, including weekends
Additional Details:
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
