CNC MACHINIST/MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Location: Itasca, IL
Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay: $23.00 to $30.00 (higher for candidate with welding and CNC experience)

Employment Type: Temp to Hire / Full-Time

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Mechanical Assembler to help assemble components and test custom designed capital equipment using various tools and equipment.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Proficient in machine assembly with the ability to identify problems and develop solutions
• Read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Skilled using various hand and power tools
• Willing to seek additional information from others when needed
• Diligent, quality focused, efficient, and meticulous
• Experienced with general metalworking machines such as horizontal bar, lathes, and vertical milling machines a plus!
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Mechanical Knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic written/verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience; assembly of equipment, fabrication
• Able to work standing for 8 to 10 hours in shop conditions
• Responsible to provide own basic hand/power tools
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Driver’s license required
• Desirable experience includes repair of capital equipment, fabrication, and welding

Compensation and Benefits once hired by client and becoming eligible:
