Machine Operator

Position Summary

Will be responsible for operation of manufacturing machinery utilized in a high quality medical device manufacturing environment.

Duties

1. Set-up and operate assembly equipment using prescribed methods and training to manufacture parts within acceptable tolerances and standards.
2. Replace raw materials as required during set up process and during continuous runs of production lots.
3. Continuous monitoring of assemble equipment while making in-process adjustments to ensure product conforms to specification.
4. Use required measuring instruments and gages or scales to check and ensure products meet specifications
5. Perform prescribed cleaning of equipment

1. Perform routine general maintenance when scheduled
2. Compliance with STERIS Quality System policies and procedures pertaining to manufacturing processes.
3. Communicate clearly with personnel and assigned work group.
4. Perform work to meet all required quality specifications.
5. Maintain and follow all safety standards.
6. Other duties as assigned

Education Degree

• High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

. Minimum 3 years experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferred

Skills

1. Must be able to use measuring instruments, gages, and scales.
2. Must demonstrate ability to manufacture products according to the procedures and drawings while maintaining quality systems and standards.
3. Must be mechanically inclined and be able to think quickly in order to make in-process adjustments in a timely manner.
4. Must have good communication skills.
5. Must be able to work in a team environment
6. Must have ability to stand for long periods of time.
7. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistance.
8. Trouble shooting and problem solving

P ay range for this opportunity is $19.11 - $24.73. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
