Position Summary:

The Administrative Services Specialist reports to the Administrative Services Supervisor. This position assist with file testing and set up, troubleshoot and coordinate with IT on vendor extracts/issues, assist with ID card development, extracts, updates and ordering, etc.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform detailed testing and qualify checks on new or updated health plan file postings
• Support the remediation of data issues found in testing and production through data analysis when appropriate
• Communicate data changes when data assets are released to production
• Perform regular quality control on worked files to proactively root out and troubleshoot issues and investigate root-cause of errors for process improvement
• Assist with creation, setup and implementation of member ID cards
• Work with and monitor file feeds used for the ordering of member ID cards
• Support the implementation of special projects, assisting with tracking of various phases of a project and managing workflow
• Assisting management in familiarizing and training team members with various business rules in working with various types of file feeds
• Identify gaps in processes and suggest process improvement strategies
• Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Education Required.
• 1 plus year(s) of experience working with health plan eligibility files of multiple formats, including 834 files
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and team members to ensure a collaborative work environment to reach shared goals
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, expressing complex concepts clearly and concisely in order to deliver messages suited to the audience
• Ability to identify issues or inconsistencies, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources and recommend alternative "out of the box" solutions
• Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to continually re-prioritize and/or multi-task
• Demonstrate high attention to detail
