Human Resources Coordinator

OTTO's opportunity:

The Human Resources Coordinator provides essential support to the HR department with a primary focus on recruiting and payroll administration. This role assists in attracting and onboarding hourly employees, supports payroll processing, and contributes to a positive and organized workplace environment.

Specifically, the Human Resources Coordinator will :

• Support recruitment for hourly and production roles – coordinate interview scheduling, interview candidates, present job offers, and complete administrative tasks for the new hire process
• Complete pre-employment requirements, including drug testing and background checks
• Represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events
• Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hourly/production employees
• Assist with payroll activities, including reviewing timesheets, collecting required documentation, and preparing payroll reports
• Serve as backup support for payroll processing as needed
• Assist with planning and coordinating company events such as the annual picnic, company lunches, and employee celebrations
• Respond to employee inquiries and support a positive employee experience
• Maintain accurate HR records through filing, scanning, and archiving in compliance with record retention requirements
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What you'll need to bring to the table:

• Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in recruiting and payroll administration
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with UKG/ADP Workforce Now and Breezy ATS preferred

What OTTO offers for this specific position:

The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.

• Target hourly hiring range: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
• Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it's fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO's profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
• Vacation: five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
