Roka Akor is an award-winning Japanese steakhouse and sushi restaurant recognized for exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and our signature robata grill. Our Chicago location is entering an exciting new chapter as we invest in our people, systems, and long-term growth.

We're looking for a dynamic leader to join our team as General Manager. While experienced GMs are encouraged to apply, we are equally interested in exceptional Assistant General Managers who are ready to take the next step in their careers. • Lead all front-of-house operations while partnering closely with the Executive Chef.

• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing management team.

• Drive an exceptional guest experience through visible, hands-on leadership.

• Own financial performance, including labor, cost controls, and profitability.

• Recruit, train, and retain top hospitality talent.

• Execute company standards while helping implement new operational systems and best practices.

• Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

• Previous General Manager experience in upscale dining or an accomplished AGM ready to lead their own restaurant.

• Strong leadership and coaching skills.

• Financial acumen with experience managing labor, budgets, and P&Ls.

• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

• Calm, decisive leadership in a fast-paced environment.

• A hands-on management style—you lead from the floor, not from the office.

• Experience with Toast POS and OpenTable is a plus.
