Job Summary
If you're interested in the Entry Level Inventory Control Specialist job , then this is the best role for you ! We need to have a minimum amount of hardware available to move from site to site and we need to take care of the asset inventory.
Job Description
- Request quotes to vendors based on BoM (Build of Material) provided by architect team
- Review quotes and create the PO request
- Sign for and receive incoming equipment at B-Dock
- Sort and inventory new incoming equipment
- Maintain an accurate count of old existing stock, such as 3650 switches and end-of-life (EOL) equipment
- Provide the team with an updated Excel spreadsheet of current room inventory
- Manage the recycling of obsolete equipment through Sims/E-Waste
- Package and ship network equipment via B-Dock upon request from team members or NeMo engineers
- Connect items to the terminal server as requested by the team
- Ensure the room remains organized and clear to accommodate new pallet deliveries
- Update asset inventory (future requirements, transfer of equipment between locations, device replacement updates, status updates such as “in stock,” “retired,” or “production”)
- Confirm receipt of equipment orders, gathering all pertinent information about the assets, cost elements, locations, and installation dates
- Create equipment lists using provided templates and gathered data, assigning calculated costs where applicable
- Activate all project-related assets in SAP, including low-cost items like wireless access points, antennas, expansion modules, and accessories
- Complete asset activations by the end of each quarter to maintain accurate financial reporting
Skills Required
- Knowledge of Cisco hardware (not configuration, just hardware
- Knowledge of Service Now Connectivity assets (Active, In Stock & Disposed)
- Knowledge of MS O365
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift: 8:00 AM
- Preference for experience working with technical teams
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary : $22.00 to $30.16 per hour based on qualifications.
