Position: Registered Nurse (RN – Ortho Inpatient)
Location: Urbana, Illinois
Shift: Night– 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Duties
- Provide nursing care to orthopedic and medical/surgical patients
- Assess patients and create care plans
- Give medications and monitor patient progress
- Educate patients about:
- Wound care
- Mobility
- Self-care
- Medications
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Work closely with doctors and healthcare team
- Handle medical equipment such as:
- Wound vacs
- Drains
- Traction devices
- Ensure patient safety and report any issues
- Supervise and guide support staff
Requirements
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
Education
- Required: ASN (Associate Degree in Nursing)
- Preferred: BSN
Certifications
- Active Illinois RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
