Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of a high-speed manufacturing or technical machinery. Your focus will be on implementing time-saving practices to minimize downtime and setup times while ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate a high-speed manfuacturing machine
• Monitor the machine for any runtime issues and work in conjunction with the maintenance team
• Maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety.
• Practice good lockout/tagout procedures.
• Follow reporting processes for accurate completion of production paperwork
• Complete quality inspections and checks on raw and finished product

Essential Skills

• 2 years of machine operating experience.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler, and use basic shop math.
• Experience working in a high-speed packaging environment.
• Ability to package and label products.
• Work with a sense of urgency without compromising attention to detail and quality.
• Comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the day.

Work Environment

Work in a brand new facility! Safety equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection is required. Operating shifts: 1st shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm), 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm), and 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am).

Position is based out of Elgin, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
