Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher to serve in an elementary school setting, focusing on self-contained classrooms for grades K-5. The position involves working with a caseload of 6-8 students diagnosed with Autism, supported by two paraprofessionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students with Autism in a self-contained classroom.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize growth and engagement.
• Maintain clear and consistent munication with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) certification is required.
• Experience working within K-5 settings, preferably self-contained classrooms.
• Ability to effectively manage a small caseload while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Location:

• Position is based in Elgin, IL.

Contract Details:

• This is a full-time, contracted role for the current school year (CSY).
