Compensation Range: $65-$80/hr

Job Description:
Provide subject matter expertise in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of advanced security solutions, enabling secure infrastructure and zero trust strategies across the organization.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot security technologies including Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, HPE Aruba ClearPass, and Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX)

• Act as or collaborate with domain architects to recommend interoperable solutions and ensure alignment with architectural roadmaps

• Lead the delivery of projects/infrastructure that meet business objectives, including cost effective planning and total cost of ownership considerations

• Execute PCI 4.0 compliance and perform root cause analysis for P1/P2 incidents, following ITIL processes

• Ensure proper documentation, communication plans, and test artifacts are created and maintained for all deliveries

• Develop and manage test plans, scripts, defect tracking, and user acceptance testing

• Serve as a liaison between suppliers, business stakeholders, and support teams for infrastructure or application changes

• Evaluate business processes for gaps and opportunities; recommend innovations or simplifications

• Provide 3rd-level support, maintain individual contribution, and foster professional growth in self and others

Requirements:

• Must Haves:

  • Expert hands-on and design experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet (Fortigate), ClearPass, Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), and Skybox Security

  • Practical experience implementing zero trust architectures

  • Proven experience with PCI 4.0 compliance, ITIL incident handling (P1/P2), and root cause analysis

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills for documentation and stakeholder engagement

  • EST time zone alignment and proximity to specified locations for coordination purposes

• Nice to Haves:

  • Domain architect experience or familiarity

  • Previous experience with advanced technology business sectors (e.g., finance, healthcare, etc.)

  • History of recommending system/process innovations or simplifications
