Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults on an inpatient rehabilitation unit, including mobility help, daily living activities support, and documentation of progress
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses; note that heparin drips are not used on this unit
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary care plans with therapy, nursing, and case management
- Monitor neuro status and support stroke or other neurological patients using unit-specific protocols
- Document care in the electronic health record with accurate, timely entries; ensure patient safety and quality of care

Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS or stroke certification (required for neuro-focused population)
- Ability to work day shift on an inpatient rehab unit within a hospital setting
