Corporate Attorney - M&A / Private Equity (Chicago)

A leading US law firm is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Attorney to join its Chicago office. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex transactions with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
• Represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a variety of transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents including purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and other related contracts.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to support clients in multi-jurisdictional deals.
• Provide ongoing strategic legal advice to corporate clients.

Candidate Profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a top law school.
• Admitted to practice in Illinois.
• Class years 2017-2021 .
• Strong background in M&A and private equity transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
