The Scott Johnson Agency is seeking a motivated and client-focused Insurance Specialist to join our growing team. As a Farmers Insurance agency, our mission is to help individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most through comprehensive insurance solutions.

This role is unique in that it combines exceptional customer service with consultative sales. The Insurance Specialist will not only assist existing clients with their insurance needs but also proactively identify opportunities to expand coverage and bring in new business. The ideal candidate thrives on building relationships, problem-solving, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Hands on Training

Client Service & Support

• Serve as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for client inquiries (phone, email, and in-person).
• Assist clients with billing, claims, policy servicing, and coverage explanations.
• Ensure clients receive clear, accurate, and timely communication regarding their insurance needs.
• Maintain detailed and organized client records within the agency management system.

Insurance Sales & Growth

• Engage with both new and existing clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions (auto, home, life, business, and specialty products).
• Conduct coverage reviews and identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional products.
• Develop new business opportunities through warm leads, referrals, networking, and community outreach.

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or insurance is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, educate, and build trust.
• Goal-oriented with a drive to achieve both individual and team targets.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.

Technical Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn and adapt to agency management systems and quoting platforms.
• Comfort with digital tools for communication, scheduling, and marketing.

Licensing

• Property & Casualty insurance license required (or ability to obtain within 6090 days of hire).
• Life & Health license strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain with agency support).
