• Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalists, ICU teams, PSA Cardiologists.

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes.
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes.
• Credentialing Timeline: 60 days.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Cardiac catheterizations.
• Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and related interventional procedures.
• Cath Lab procedures for inpatients.
• STEMI auto-accept program coverage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licenses: Active Illinois license required (IMLC not accepted).
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
• DEA: Active DEA Certification required.
• Certifications: ACLS, CSR License.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year.
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide full Interventional Cardiology coverage on weekends.
• Perform inpatient Cath Lab procedures as needed.
• Cover hospital’s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients.
• Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients.
• Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists.
• Manage telephone call coverage with 30-minute response time.
• Work independently as the solo physician on coverage.
