Schedule: Full time Shift: Night (United States of America) Address: 701 WINTHROP AVE City: GLENDALE HEIGHTS State: Illinois Postal Code: 60139 Job Description: Schedule: 36 hours/week; Nights 7p-7a; Every other weekend and rotating holidays Grow with us. Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria. Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

• Responds to and participates in unit and hospital code situations, treating patients according to protocols. 
• Supervises and guides licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures and performs therapeutic measures as prescribed.
• Develops, prioritizes, and documents individualized care plans involving patients, families, and significant others.
• Administers medications and treatments accurately and appropriately, including IV infusions and oxygen supplementation.
• Provides patient and family education on care plans, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions, documenting the education provided and patient responses.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment, including the use of restraints and fall risk precautions.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Performs and documents accurate initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical and mental status, and reports findings to the responsible physician.
• Monitors patient lab work for trends, reports abnormal results, and obtains appropriate interventions. 
• Evaluates and communicates patient responses to care plans and interventions to appropriate team members.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes. [Required]
• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs. [Required]
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills). [Required]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years behavioral Health nursing experience [Preferred]
• Experience with dementia patients [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention Program [Preferred]
