Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift | Food Manufacturing - Chicago, IL

THE OPPORTUNITY

A premier food manufacturer in Chicago — recently integrated into a major industry portfolio — is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead production associates and drive safety, quality, and productivity across assigned lines. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

Facilitate daily startup, routine production, and changeover processes for assigned lines

Schedule personnel including training, call-outs, and temporary employees

Coordinate reprocess activities; maintain accurate records and verify production reports

Implement the production plan for the shift; ensure schedules are followed by the team

Manage indirect material inventory levels to support production demands

Coordinate with Quality Control on hold situations and implement corrective actions

Manage GMP compliance, safety initiatives, and all company policies and procedures

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Business Administration, or closely related field, or equivalent experience

5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing

Proven ability to supervise, lead, and build relationships across all levels

Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and cost containment skills

Ability to work all shifts as needed
