Informatica ETL Developer

We’re looking for a seasoned Informatica ETL Developer to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team in support of a major healthcare data transformation initiative. This role is instrumental in building and maintaining robust data integration pipelines that ensure timely, trusted insights across Medicaid systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter .
• Implement automated data staging, integration, and scheduling processes across large datasets.
• Build, test, and maintain mappings, mapplets, workflows, and sessions using advanced Informatica transformations.
• Administer ETL environments (development and production), including backups, recovery, and system tuning.
• Write and optimize complex SQL and Unix Shell scripts to support Teradata-based data marts and reporting layers.
• Participate in solution design, requirements analysis, testing, and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to align solutions with business needs and timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts.
• Keep up with new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in ETL development with Informatica PowerCenter
• 5+ years of experience with Teradata (v17+) and tools such as Fastload, TPT, Multiload
• 5+ years of experience in ETL environment administration (PowerCenter)
• 5+ years of writing and tuning complex SQL queries
• 2+ years of Unix Shell scripting (Bash/Korn)
• Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring abilities
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics , or related field
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Located near or within driving distance of Springfield, IL
• 5+ years of data warehouse development experience
• 5+ years of data modeling using ERWIN or similar tools
• 2+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory and Snowflake
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python , R , or JavaScript/React
• Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) , Address Doctor , or Metadata Manager
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Exposure to Medicaid , Medicare , or healthcare data systems and standards

Location & Travel

This is a telecommute role with occasional travel (<15%) to Springfield, IL for client meetings.
