What You’ll Be Doing You aren't just "pushing buttons." You are the pilot of a high-tech production engine. Your day will involve:

• Mastering the Machines: Full operation and maintenance of large-scale commercial digital presses. You’ll handle everything from routine cleaning and consumables to deep-dive troubleshooting and vendor interfacing.

• Color Alchemy: Calibrating and linearizing systems to ensure world-class color output. You understand color spaces and ICC profiling like the back of your hand.

• Precision Production: Managing the production schedule to ensure not a single deadline is missed. You’ll evaluate output, adjust image quality, and keep the workflow moving at lightning speed.

• The "Quality First" Mindset: Overseeing the quality process before, during, and after production to ensure every piece is flawless.

Who You Are

• Certified or Experienced: You have Konica Minolta KM-1 or HP Indigo certification (or equivalent high-volume experience).

• Mechanically Inclined: You’re comfortable with general maintenance, "HFSI" monitoring, and clearing faults/errors to keep the line running.

• Detail-Obsessed: You can spot a 1-pixel shift from across the room and pride yourself on organized, efficient workflows.

• Proactive: You don't wait for things to break; you monitor environmental factors (like humidity and temp) to stop problems before they start.

Responsibilities

Press Maintenance & Operation  Perform press cleaning, replenishing of consumables, and all tasks required for proper operation  Monitor High Frequency Service Items (HFSI’s) and perform repairs, adjustments and general maintenance procedures as necessary  Use diagnostics to troubleshoot and correct image quality artifacts  Contact and interface with press vendor support as necessary  Respond appropriately to fault, error, and alert messages  Troubleshoot problems that occur during job submission or the printing process  Calibrate and linearize the system to maintain optimal color output (for digital color presses)  Monitor and report environmental changes that may impact equipment performance (humidity and temperature) Print Production  Ensure required resources are available to complete jobs  Submit, release, and reprint jobs to the press  Evaluate output and make adjustments to obtain a desired level of image quality Document Preparation/Digital File Manipulation  Make the appropriate and productive job setting choices at the press workstation  Make productivity and color workflow recommendations  Manage job scheduling  Seeks out and recognizes opportunities to increase efficiencies, minimize waste and improve the quality process  Oversees the quality process of all jobs before, during and post production
