Full Stack Software Engineer (Mid-Level)

We're seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our highly collaborative engineering team responsible for developing a modern web application hosted in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role sits at the center of a fast-paced, Agile, cloud-native environment that emphasizes learning, ownership, and building high-impact software. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working across the full stack, thrives in a modern cloud environment, and is excited to contribute to innovative deposit origination products used by nearly every small and mid-sized bank Jack Henry supports. We deliver modern, cloud-native digital banking solutions that power thousands of community banks and credit unions across the country. Our teams build both consumer-facing and enterprise applications that help financial institutions serve their customers with speed, security, and innovation.


This position can be based to work remotely, but candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Louisville, KY; or Springfield/Monett, MO. The salary range for this position is $80,000- $125,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level. Travel up to 5% for meetings and trainings may be required. All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you'll be responsible for


• End-to-End Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable consumer and enterprise applications across the full stack.
• Cloud-Native Engineering: Develop microservices within a GCP/Kubernetes environment, focusing on automation and architectural improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner daily with Product, Design, and Cloud Ops in an Agile environment to accelerate delivery.
• Technical Ownership: Drive the full software lifecycle-from prototyping and system analysis to bug resolution and production deployment.
• System Reliability: Support production stability through on-call rotations and continuous application monitoring.
• Quality Standards: Apply industry best practices to ensure code quality, security, and a seamless experience for end users.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.



What you'll need to have


• A minimum of 4 years of experience working as an engineer within the software development lifecycle.
• Back-end experience with Go, Rust, C#, and/or .NET
• Front end development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Vue.js.
• Experience with cloud programming in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes.



What would be nice for you to have


• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in cloud-native architecture and building distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Previous experience contributing across both infrastructure and application layers.
• Familiarity with Kotlin.
