Job Description

Veterinary Kennel Technician & Licensed Groomer

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Kennel Technician & Licensed Groomer to join our veterinary clinic team. This unique role combines hands-on patient care with professional grooming services, offering an opportunity to contribute to both the medical and aesthetic well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding patients, including feeding, monitoring, exercising, and maintaining clean, sanitary kennel facilities.

• Assist the veterinary team by observing and reporting patient health, behavior, and comfort.

• Perform grooming services such as bathing, haircuts, trimming, de-shedding, and nail care in accordance with clinic and industry standards.

• Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming preferences, patient updates, and follow-up care.

• Ensure safety, efficiency, and a high level of patient and client satisfaction in all services provided.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a kennel technician in a veterinary or professional animal care setting required.

• Licensed/Certified Groomer with demonstrated grooming experience.

• Strong animal handling skills and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Compensation:

• Kennel Technician duties: $16.50/hour

• Grooming services: Commission-based pay
