What You’ll Do

• Work safely, maintain regular attendance and punctuality, and keep a clean, orderly station.
• Set up and operate inspection gauges; capture findings and file records with precision.
• Interpret blueprints to verify conformance against specifications.
• Review and approve supplier certifications for applicable requirements.
• Inspect and approve master gages used in manufacturing.
• Conduct microscopic analysis, including mounting, sectioning, polishing, and photomicroscope measurements.
• Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to detect surface and subsurface discontinuities.
• Use electronic scales to weigh and count to confirm quantities.
• Report anomalies immediately to a Lead Person or Supervisor.

Tools You’ll Master

• Inspection equipment: Micrometers, calipers, bore plugs, thread plugs, thread rings, air gauges, Sunnen gauges, supermic, optical comparator, hardness tester, surface analyzer, plating thickness equipment, eddy current, radial and axial clearance gauges, CMM machine.
• Supporting equipment: Magnaflux booth, calculator, weigh scale, basic hand tools, two-wheel hand dolly, die cart/lifter, pallet lifter.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background in quality inspection; manufacturing experience preferred (non-food).
• Strong attention to detail; comfortable with complex inspection work.
• Team-oriented communicator.
• Proficiency with the instruments and equipment above.

Knowledge & Skills

• Math fluency: add, subtract, multiply, divide, work with decimals, and perform metric conversions.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Inspection methodology and documentation discipline.
