Social Media & Communications Associate
LaSalle Network is looking to hire a Social Media & Communications Associate for one of our clients in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of strategic social media initiatives that elevate the visibility, reputation, and engagement of our client. You will partner closely with the greater marketing team, including but not limited to, photographers, designers, and digital marketers, in executing content across social media and digital channels. If you are someone that loves developing, managing, and optimizing content across social media, where you can create content and adapt stories/ bring them to life, this is the role for you! What You Will Do:- Establish and execute social media plans, including content development and maintenance strategy
- Develop, manage, and implement a social listening and relational engagement strategy on social media to improve brand health, increase awareness, bridge relationships, elevate conversations in the community
- Analyze data to create weekly reports on user engagement and platform growth.
- Leverage listening tools to monitor news, mentions, and trending topics on social media.
- Engage with online communities, responding to comments and messages, and managing online reputation
- Identify opportunities to advance relations through compelling and appropriately resourced social media campaigns
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, new media, journalism, writing, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
- 2+ years of prior experience in social media communications marketing either in-house or within an ad agency
- Proven track record of developing and implementing social media strategies to meet specific business goals, such as increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, and/ or generating leads
- Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience effectively organizing and prioritizing multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional partners/ teams
- 2+ years experience engaging with and managing social media communities
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting digital analytics to inform content strategy and reporting outcomes.
- Familiarity with Brandwatch or Hootsuite or similar program is highly preferred
- Working experience out of nonprofits, higher education, bi-research, or the medical field is highly preferred
- Open to being onsite 3-5 days a week, dependent upon content production schedules and events
- Must have a portfolio showcase your work!
This role pays a base salary of $60,000 and offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans; short term and long term disability; flexible spending accounts; and a 401K. Our client also offers a generous PTO plan in addition sick days AND paid holidays.
