A national law firm is seeking an attorney with 3+ years of insurance coverage experience to join its Chicago office. The practice advises insurers on complex coverage disputes and policy interpretation issues across a range of matters, including professional liability, directors and officers liability, financial institutions claims, and other specialty lines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and evaluate complex coverage issues
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and coverage position letters
• Handle coverage litigation from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other substantive litigation documents
• Manage discovery, depositions, and court appearances
• Work directly with insurer clients on strategy and risk assessment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of insurance coverage and litigation experience
• Experience handling coverage opinions and policy interpretation matters
• Professional liability, D&O, financial institutions, or related coverage experience is highly valued
• Illinois Bar admission required
• Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for this position is approximately $130,000 to $200,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
