Veterinarian High Volume Spay/Neuter Surgeon – Chicago, IL – #8701

Well respected and well funded animal shelter in the Chicago area is looking for a skilled veterinarian spay/neuter surgeon with ability to perform 30 or more spays / neuters per day to join their veterinary team. This role focuses on performing high-quality sterilization surgeries for owned and shelter animals. With no on-call or overnight shifts, this is a hands-on surgical role in a mission-driven environment. This organization is making a real impact, and the team is dedicated to providing the best care while increasing access to affordable veterinary services.

The hospital performs more than 17,000 surgeries annually and aim to grow that number even higher. This position is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about surgery and animal welfare. You’ll have the support, equipment, and team needed to excel while making a tangible difference in reducing pet homelessness.

(Salary: $160,000 – $200,000. Salary may be negotiable)

Qualifications:

• DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school
• Licensed (or eligible) in Illinois
• 2+ years of experience performing high-volume spay/neuter (30 or more surgeries/day)
• Expertise in anesthesia, pain management, and post-op care
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills
• Commitment to animal welfare and accessible veterinary care
