Senior Air Import Specialist (Hybrid) - Elk Grove Village, IL
$65,000 – $75,000 (Dependent on experience) + Full Benefits + 401(k) Match + Hybrid Schedule

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Air Import Specialist, you’ll take ownership of inbound air freight operations from origin to final delivery, ensuring speed, accuracy, and compliance every step of the way.
- Manage international air import shipments end-to-end
- Coordinate with global suppliers, freight forwarders, and airline partners
- Oversee temperature-sensitive and regulated pharma shipments
- Prepare and review critical import documentation (invoices, packing lists, arrival notices)
- Partner with customs brokers to ensure smooth and compliant clearance
- Proactively resolve delays, customs holds, and documentation issues
- Track shipments, costs, duties, and tariffs
- Provide real-time updates and reporting to internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and visibility
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a similar air import role
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical/healthcare shipments strongly preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of customs procedures, shipping documentation, and international logistics processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
