Front of House Staff/Barista

Job Description:

At Tilly Bagel Shop, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming pool atmosphere for our guests. Your responsibilities will encompass both beverage preparation and ensuring that each customer has a delightful experience from the moment they walk in to the time they leave.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide recommendations on our menu items. Ensure a friendly and inviting environment, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.

2. Beverage Preparation: Prepare a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following our recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage station.

3. Bagel Handling: Assist in the preparation and presentation of bagels, including toasting and slicing. Ensure that all food items are fresh and meet quality standards. Restocking bagel wall.

4. Cashier Duties: Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the Toast point-of-sale system. Credit and debit transactions.

5. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized front of house area, including dining tables, condiment stations, and display cases. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and support each other in delivering excellent service.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- A passion for bagels and customer service, along with a willingness to learn about our menu offerings.

Working Conditions:

- This position may require standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
