Job Summary
Services Key Account Manager (multiple openings)
Position is located at 600 Bunker Court, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.
90% domestic and international travel required.
Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per work week.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As a Services Key Account Manager, you will:
Serve as the key point of contact for key Tetra Pak customer accounts to ensure that the customers’ operational issues are resolved in a timely manner, identify their needs, and deliver solutions to drive mutual growth. Work with our customers in the Food and Beverage industry and look for opportunities inside and outside existing customer base to sell our Services Portfolio and grow our market. Lead the creation, implementation, and follow up of sales and business strategies for the given area of responsibility or application. Lead understanding of customer needs through proactive continuous diagnosis and analysis of customer needs and issues. Lead opportunity management, cross-selling, and up-selling to produce fact-based value proposals, negotiations, and deal closings. Lead the growth of profitable service contracts. Create, implement, and follow up on sales plans that are produced for Key Accounts in collaboration with the rest of the Services Key Account Management team. Lead the creation of service business plans in collaboration with portfolio Services Account Representatives and Services Support Engineers. Lead the services aspect of project lifecycle management to ensure new equipment is effectively handed over according to plan. Analyze delivered value, customer satisfaction, and profitability on services provided to key accounts, both with the customers and internally. Participate in the resolution of technical issues by being responsible for communications with the customers.
We believe you have
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience with technical sales management or production management.
Must also have experience in:
1. Food processing manufacturing;
2. Overseeing quality assurance activities;
3. Developing production and quality plans;
4. Working on dairy and beverage technologies;
5. Guiding internal teams and influence without direct managerial authority;
6. Maintenance systems within production facilities; and
7. Conducting food packaging and processing equipment and line performance evaluations.
