Burdi's Motor Works is a premier, independently owned automotive service center specializing in the maintenance and repair of European vehicles. We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team.

What You'll Be Working On:

This role requires expertise in diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting and general mechanical repair across two core areas:

1. Luxury & Performance Vehicles (Primary Focus)

• Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Audi, and Land Rover.
• Advanced diagnosis and repair of systems including CAN-Bus networks, ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), high-voltage hybrid/EV systems (if certified), and complex engine/transmission control systems.
• Factory-level scheduled maintenance and general mechanical repairs.

2. Fleet & Commercial Vehicles (Secondary Focus)

• Diagnosis, service, and repair of fleet commercial vans including Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit, Ram Promaster, and Chevy Express.
• This work provides variety and ensures a consistent workflow for all mechanical and maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Diagnostics: Systematically diagnose and identify the root cause of electrical and mechanical failures using factory-level scan tools, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and schematics.
• Precision Repair: Execute high-quality, efficient, and precise repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Burdi's standards.
• Documentation: Clearly document all findings, diagnostic steps, and repairs performed using our shop management software.
• Continuous Learning: Remain current on the latest technology, technical service bulletins (TSBs), and repair procedures for all serviced vehicle makes.
• Collaboration: Communicate complex diagnostic findings clearly to Service Advisors and occasionally directly to customers.

What We Require:

• 5+ years of professional experience working on European Luxury vehicles (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Porsche, or Land Rover preferred).
• ASE Master Certification (A1-A8) is required; L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist is a significant advantage.
• Proven expertise with advanced diagnostic equipment (digital multi-meter, oscilloscope/lab scope proficiency is non-negotiable).
• A comprehensive set of personal tools to perform all facets of diagnostics and repair.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Specific dealer or independent specialized training on Mercedes-Benz, BMW, or Porsche.
• Experience with diesel/turbo-diesel engine diagnosis and repair (relevant to Sprinter/Promaster/Transit).
• Certification or proven experience with high-voltage (HEV/EV) systems.
