About the Role
In this role you will:
- Manage a portfolio of claims from first notification through resolution, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Analyze policy terms and conditions to determine coverage applicability.
- Conduct investigations, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and assess loss severity and liability.
- Develop and implement appropriate claim resolution strategies, including negotiation and settlement.
- Partner with underwriting, legal, finance, and external partners to ensure coordinated claims handling.
- Maintain accurate claim files and contribute to internal reporting and analytics.
- Engage in training programs and professional development initiatives to build expertise across all lines of business.
About the Team
You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing and resolving claims both domestically and internationally across multiple lines of business, including: Accident & Health, Credit and Surety, Financial Lines, and Property. Our team comprises over 80 professionals, including claims handlers and management, primarily located in Kansas City, MO; New York, NY; Chicago and Schaumburg, IL and Windsor, CT.
About You
This role is designed for early-career professionals with a maximum of three years of prior relevant full-time work experience. We are looking for people who want to make a difference!
We're looking for candidates who bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in in Business, Finance, Pre-Law, Risk Management, or related fields ) between 2024–2026, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Strong analytical, data management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to details with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A genuine interest in insurance, risk management, and corporate finance
- Proven customer service skills
- Willingness to obtain necessary adjuster licensing, if required
The base salary for this role is $70,000. Candidates with advanced degrees may be eligible for a higher base compensation. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only, and does not include short-and long-term incentives or other benefits offered.
